Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does Wellnexa Health require a contract?
No, Wellnexa Health services are offered on a one-time basis but can also be ordered in multi-month packages. We do not require sign ups for any length of time.
  • What if I need to cancel?
Since all Semaglutide is prepared to-order, once it has shipped from the compounding pharmacy, it cannot be cancelled. Up until that time, no problem.
  • What if I miss a dose of Semaglutide?
Don't worry if you miss a dose and the next scheduled dose is more than 2 days away (48 hours), take the missed dose as soon as possible. If you miss a dose and the next scheduled dose is less than 2 days away, don't administer the dose. Wait until your next scheduled dose. If you miss doses for more than 2 weeks, call us to talk about how to restart your treatment. Double or extra doses are not recommended. If you are uncertain about a missed dose, contact us for advice.
  • Where should I store my Semaglutide?
The medication should be stored in the refrigerator between 36 and 46 degrees Fahrenheit for a maximum for 56 days. Store your injections away from light and heat. As with all medications, Semaglutide should be kept away from children.
  • What do I do if the liquid in my pen isn't clear?
Your medicine should always be clear and colorless. If it is not, do not use it and contact us immediately for a replacement.
  • How do I dispose of the pen?
Do not throw the pen away in your household trash. Instead, use an FDA-cleared sharps disposal container or a sturdy household container with a tight-fitting lid, like a heavy-duty plastic container.
  • What is the age range for treatment?
GLP-1 Weight Management programs require the patient to be at least 18 years of age, and no older than 75 years old.
  • How do I get my prescription?
The first shot is given at the time of the initial patient exam, assuming the doctor has prescribed Semaglutide as part of your weight loss plan. The rest of the doses in your order will be delivered from the compounding pharmacy to our office, where you can pick them up at your convenience.
  • Do I need to eat before or after taking my medicine?
That is up to you, you can take your medicine with or without food.
  • How often do I have to come into the office for appointments?
After the initial new patient appointment, you come in only when you need to pick up a refill, consult with the doctor on adjustments or measure your progress with the 3D body scanner.
  • What are Compounded GLP-1 Medications?
Compounded GLP-1 Medications are patient-specific medications created in a state Board of Pharmacy or FDA-licensed compounding facility per a prescription from a licensed healthcare professional. Compounded drugs are required to exclusively use ingredients from FDA-licensed facilities, and test sterile compounds for potency, sterility, and purity. Compounded drugs are not made in large batches for the public, but rather are made based on specific orders from a medical professional. Because of that the dose, route of administration, and efficacy may differ from commercially available, brand-name, drugs.
  • How do I see a provider?
During your initial patient appointment, a medical assistant will complete your medical intake with you. After that, you will meet with a board-certified physician via a 2-way audiovisual HIPPA- compliant telehealth system.
  • Do I have to actually talk to the physician?
Yes, all clients must talk to a physician in order to have the appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • What if the physician doesn’t approve me for Semaglutide?
Like a standard medical clinic, payment is for the physician’s service and payment of the office visit does not guarantee the writing or dispensing of a prescription medication.
  • Does my insurance cover the weight loss program?
Most insurance companies do not cover Semaglutide for weight loss, but you will have to directly contact your insurance provider for more details. Wellnexa Health does not accept any public or private health insurance plans at this time. Clients are solely responsible for the cost of services.
